The canal path is completely flat, while the Salmon Weir route includes gentle rolling terrain rather than steep climbs.

The Galway Canal Path experience runs about 2–2.5 hours including stops, covering roughly 8 miles at a relaxed pace. The Salmon Weir & River Bridge route takes around 3 hours with frequent pauses to appreciate the historical sites and river views, covering approximately 12 miles. Both timings are flexible depending on group preferences and weather.

We can arrange bike rentals for you in advance—just let us know when you book. We work with local providers who maintain quality bikes suitable for older riders, with comfortable saddles and reliable brakes. There's a small rental fee on top of the tour cost.
